AUTHENTIC This iconic desk is an enduring example of the campaign furniture style made popular by the British military during the nineteenth century. Built to survive the ravages of sea travel, as well as tropical and desert climates, this furniture also had to be portable and multi-functional.
Incoming
Its basic sawhorse design made it easy to break down into three pieces. The bases were used to climb into bunks on ships and onto camels on land, while the top stacked for easy storage in transit. Each a-frame base is comprised of two handy shelves with brass labeling hardware. The top has two small drawers and one large one with brass pulls.
Brass is also used to protect the corners and for the side carrying handles. The base framework, drawers and tabletop all have a hand-rubbed distressed honey finish. In contrast, the shelves, tabletop framework and ends are available in both aged ivory or black. The black faux-leather writing pad provides a stylish accent to this chic desk. Add a coordinating Purser's Chair or Navy Chair to complete the home office setup.
