Fontana Arte is an Italian company founded in Milan by Luigi Fontana in 1881 and began as a company producing sheets of glass for building use. His fame grew especially for the processing of curved glass and the manufacture of equipment for lighting. It had artistic directors such as Gio Ponti, Peter's Church and Max Ingrand. In 1937 Fontana Arte takes part in the great international exhibition in Paris, proposing innovative systems for lighting technology. Throughout the period that followed, until 1948, the production of objects is extended; come true dishes, boxes, photoframes, windows, frames, mirrors, sculptures, also furniture and tables with glass inserts with curved glass bases. Because this company has always had a strong relationship with architects, this has provided the ability to bring to life proposals and solutions as a mark of elegance, quality, lighting performances and sustainability.
